About RubberPaint — Direct Distribution of FARBEX Liquid Rubber

Protective Coatings Since 2014 — Direct Distribution Across Europe

RubberPaint EU is the European distribution brand for FARBEX Universal Liquid Rubber Coatings. Our mission is simple: high-quality, elastic protective paint sold directly by the brand owner — no merchant chains, no middle-man mark-ups. What started in 2014 as a niche offer for trade applicators has grown into an established brand serving 27 EU countries, with the same technical standards and the same direct-distribution model.

Our story — how a workshop solution became a European brand

The roots of the RubberPaint coating reach deep into industrial coating technology. FARBEX, our manufacturer, originally developed elastic single-component coatings for the construction industry — for applications where traditional bituminous membranes or rigid lacquers reach their limits: moving substrates, joints and connections, continuous UV exposure, freeze-thaw cycles.

In the early 2010s it became clear that this coating technology works just as well outside large projects — perfect for DIY users and small contractors: repairing an old flat roof, waterproofing a basement wall, sealing a balcony. That insight led to packaging the industrial-grade product in smaller tubs, offering a broad palette of RAL colours and writing application guides anyone can follow.

In 2014 the RubberPaint direct-distribution channel launched into the German-speaking market. Since then we have shipped to thousands of customers across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain and many other EU countries — from homeowners patching a garden-shed roof to construction firms coating industrial buildings.

What sets us apart from the big DIY chains

The usual route from brand owner to end customer goes through several intermediaries: importer, wholesaler, store network. Each step adds 15–30 % to the retail price — meaning the customer often pays two to three times the original ex-works figure. We bypass that chain entirely: our tubs travel from a central European warehouse straight to your door, without any high-street store and without wholesale margins.

What that means in practice:

  • Transparent, fair prices — from £23/€26.99 for 1.2 kg up to £69/€79.99 for 6 kg. Per square metre you typically spend £3.50–£4.50 in material — a fraction of what a roofing contractor would charge with felt or single-ply membranes.
  • Advice from people who know the product — when you have a technical question, you don't reach a high-street till operator but someone who has lived with this coating technically for years.
  • No artificial colour shortage — all 14 standard RAL shades are available direct from stock; bespoke tints are mixed on request.
  • Dispatch within 24 hours — UPS parcel from the central European warehouse. No weeks-long waiting room as you sometimes get with niche specialist suppliers.

FARBEX — the brand owner behind RubberPaint

FARBEX is an established European manufacturer of acrylic-latex protective coatings with over two decades of production experience. The company develops and manufactures water-based, solvent-free coating systems tested to European standards (DSTU EN 1062-1, EN 13300, ISO 16474-2).

Production standards include:

  • Per-batch material testing — solids content, viscosity, drying behaviour, colour drift.
  • UV weathering tests per ISO 16474-2 — accelerated ageing in a xenon chamber, gloss and colour change assessment.
  • Freeze-thaw cycling — 25+ cycles to simulate years of British and continental winter weather on exterior surfaces.
  • Diffusion openness per EN 1062-1 — V2 classification (60–70 g/m²·day), allowing trapped wall moisture to escape outward.

This technical depth is why RubberPaint is not "just another exterior paint" but a credible alternative to multi-component professional systems — at a much better price-performance ratio and with full DIY accessibility.

What we stand for — our values in practice

Honest product communication

We make no marketing promises we cannot back up technically. If our coating isn't ideal for a particular application (for example, permanently standing water without falls), we say so openly — our Application pages document the limits of every substrate as honestly as the strengths. That transparency matters more to us than a quick one-off sale.

Technical depth, not marketing fluff

Consumption in grams per square metre, drying time in hours at specified conditions, service temperature in degrees Celsius — RubberPaint product pages give you concrete numbers, not vague adjectives. Our Material calculator works out the optimum tub combination for your area and number of coats in seconds.

Availability that lives up to its name

If you have a technical question, our team typically replies within 24 hours by email. For more complex project queries (industrial roof, larger refurbishment, unusual substrate) we are happy to schedule a longer conversation. Drop us a line at info@rubber-paint.de or use the contact form.

Sustainability — what we actually do

Water-based instead of solvent-based — that saves hundreds of grams of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) per tub. Solvent-free application also means less smell, no need for full respiratory protection in enclosed spaces, and much safer working conditions. Tool cleaning is done entirely with water — no hazardous waste from thinners and white spirit.

Who buys RubberPaint? — our typical customers

Our customer base is broad. Rather than serving a single niche, we cover several use cases that all benefit from the direct-distribution model:

  • DIY homeowners with a specific project — patching a flat carport roof, repainting an old fence, waterproofing a cellar wall. These customers have a one-off need for a defined application — and our material calculator tells them exactly how much to order.
  • Building managers and landlords — apartment blocks, garage forecourts, underground car park entrances. Here the priority is that the coating lasts and doesn't generate repeat call-outs.
  • Builders and trade contractors — painters, roofers, developers. They value reliable in-stock availability, transparent pricing and our B2B terms for volume orders.
  • Architects and specifiers — on projects requiring an elastic, breathable and colour-customisable membrane (plinth, retaining wall, exposed-concrete detail), we are happy to advise on build-up and specification.

Logistics — how your order reaches you

Our central European warehouse serves 27 EU countries plus the United Kingdom. Orders placed and paid before 14:00 on a working day are typically dispatched the same day by UPS. Delivery times:

  • Home region (Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary): 2–4 working days.
  • Benelux & West (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia): 3–5 working days.
  • South & North (Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia): 4–7 working days.
  • United Kingdom (including customs handling): 5–10 working days.

Free delivery from £170/€199 order value — below that, tiered shipping rates by zone apply. Consignments above 40 kg generally travel by pallet courier. For larger orders or repeat B2B deliveries we provide individual freight quotes — drop us a line at info@rubber-paint.de.

Quality you can trace

Every batch of our coating carries a unique batch number on the tub and on the shipping label. If you have a technical question about a specific delivery, simply quote the batch number — we can then trace exactly which batch you received and which values (solids, viscosity, tint) were documented for it.

Safety Data Sheets and Technical Data Sheets are available on request. Both documents comply with EU CLP Regulation and REACH.

Contact & address

Our postal address for correspondence, returns and general enquiries is shown on the imprint. For technical advice and order queries, email is the fastest route: info@rubber-paint.de — we usually respond within 24 hours on working days.

If you'd like to learn more about the correct application of liquid rubber coatings, our Application pages cover all eight substrates (flat roof, façade, basement wall, balcony, concrete, wood, metal, pool) with step-by-step guides, consumption tables, recommended tools and FAQs. Our Knowledge Hub rounds the picture out with comparison articles and real-world reports.
